Marketplace inventory is still rolling out
Seller onboarding is open now. Be the first to add inventory, or browse the dashboard demo while regional listings come online.
Meet in a public place
Coffee shops, malls, community centres, or busy parking lots. Never someone's home for a first meeting.
Use a Safe Trade Zone for high-value cards
Many Canadian police stations have designated Safe Trade Zones at their front lobby — well-lit, camera-monitored, and completely free to use. Highly recommended for trades over $100.
Don't go alone
Bring a friend, or at minimum let someone know where you're meeting and who you're meeting.
Inspect before you pay
Examine the card in person before handing over any money. There are no refunds once cash changes hands.
Use safe payment methods
E-transfer with autodeposit disabled gives you a chance to cancel if something feels wrong. Cash in a public place is also fine. Never wire transfers, crypto, or gift cards with unknown sellers.
Trust your instincts
If anything feels off — the price, the person, the location — walk away. No card is worth your safety.
Canadian Safe Trade Zones
Most Canadian police services offer free Safe Trade Zones at their front lobby — monitored by cameras 24/7. Search "safe trade zone + [your city]" to find your nearest location. Popular with online sellers across Kijiji, Facebook Marketplace, and now CardTrove.
CardTrove facilitates connections between buyers and sellers but is not responsible for the outcome of any transaction. All trades are conducted at your own risk. Report suspicious listings using the flag button on each listing.
