Our Story
Built by collectors, for collectors who want cleaner tools.
CardTrove started as a practical answer to a familiar hobby problem: too much of collecting still depends on spreadsheets, screenshots, marketplace hopping, and memory. We wanted something more cohesive, useful, and honest.
Unofficial fan application
CardTrove is not affiliated with Nintendo, The Pokemon Company International, Creatures Inc., or GAME FREAK. It is an independent collector tool built to respectfully support the hobby.
CardTrove is designed to help collectors read pricing and timing with more clarity.
Profiles, community, local discovery, and seller trust all work better with consistent identity.
The product is being shaped as one ecosystem instead of disconnected experiences.
Organize without spreadsheet fatigue
Collection logging, scanning, binder organization, and portfolio tracking should feel connected instead of patched together.
Read the market with less guesswork
Collectors need cleaner price context, not just one static number or one screenshot from a marketplace.
Stay rooted in the hobby
Local events, vendors, public profiles, and community proof should make the product feel more alive and more trusted.
Why It Exists
A cleaner operating system for the hobby
The earliest version of CardTrove focused on search, collection logging, and portfolio visibility. That solved the first layer of the problem, but not the whole collector workflow.
Over time the product expanded around the real moments collectors care about: faster intake, better organization, clearer pricing context, more trustworthy public identity, and more practical selling tools.
Today the goal is broader but still grounded: make CardTrove feel like one collector ecosystem across web, mobile, community, marketplace, and local discovery instead of a stack of unrelated features.
Based In
Toronto
CardTrove is being built in Toronto with a strong bias toward practical product quality, clear UX, and tools that work for the reality of collecting instead of just looking good in screenshots.

Built With
Modern tooling, but the product view matters more than the stack.
The platform runs on a production-grade web, mobile, and API stack designed to keep pace as the product gets broader. The real goal is not using fashionable technology for its own sake; it is delivering a reliable collector experience.
See the product where it is most alive.
The clearest way to understand CardTrove is to explore the live community, watch the changelog move, and see how the product behaves across real collector workflows.
